Where did we start?

Learning to drive is a milestone for many, but it can feel like an overwhelming process for both learners and their loved ones. That’s why I created this course—to empower parents, partners, and friends with the tools, tips, and guidance they need to confidently support someone through private driving practice. As a qualified UK driving instructor, I’ve seen firsthand how private practice, when done right, can significantly boost a learner driver’s confidence and skills, helping them pass their test faster and safer.

What is the course for?

This course is designed to complement the professional training provided by qualified driving instructors. It’s not a replacement, but a way to make private practice more structured, effective, and stress-free. Whether it’s advice on how to stay calm in the passenger seat, tips for handling tricky road scenarios, or resources to track progress, this course covers everything you need to know. I believe learning to drive is a team effort, and with the right guidance, you can play a vital role in helping your loved one become a safe, competent driver.

My aim is to make the process as easy and rewarding as possible—for both you and the learner. The course includes step-by-step strategies, checklists, and tips tailored to the UK driving test, so you know exactly what to practice and how to practice it. Whether you’re a parent helping your teenager, a partner supporting a loved one, or a friend lending a hand, this course gives you the confidence to provide meaningful, practical support on the road.
